Sparks, Never Lights
Clicking continues, gas never catches. Either the igniter has shifted, or a clogged port is stopping the spark from connecting.
Won't Come Down From High
Turn the dial anywhere, still full blast. Stuck switch behind that knob, not the burner itself.
Clicks Without Ever Lighting
Past a minute, still no flame. Trapped dampness or buildup inside the igniter housing gets in the way of a clean spark.
One Won't Heat At All
Others work fine, one's stone cold. A break inside that coil, visible once pulled out.
Spins With No Click
No resistance at all. Worn spring inside, unrelated to the burner or valve.
Burns Off-Color
Should be clean blue. Yellow or uneven points to a partly blocked port.

Debris clogs the tiny holes. A soft brush clears it.
Confirm the knob clicks properly
Should land firmly on a setting.
Verify gas or power supply
Valve open, or breaker on.
Check grate positioning
A grate sitting off can confuse the igniter.
Wipe down the igniter tip
Grease weakens the spark noticeably.
Look for a tripped breaker
Especially after a storm.
